In the past twenty years, Etihad has built a good record for training Emirati people through various programs offered in the airline. These include The Etihad Cadet Pilot Programme, Graduate Manager Programme and focused training for technicians as well as engineers. Consequently, the UAE has had a number of Emirati females boasting as pilots, cabin crew, aircraft technicians, engineers, medical doctors, trainers and lawyers, not to mention that they occupy strategic positions within the organization.

Speaking with Gulf News, the Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer at Etihad Airways, Dr. Nadia Bastaki, said that she is proud of the Emirati women that are working within the organization.
