In this prospect, it has been planned to stage WeProtect Global Summit by the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi on 4-5th, December 2024. This is a historic event that will bring together leaders, enthnomphrenia, and professionals in technology to deliberate on technology as well as its impacts on the elimination of cases of child abuse and exploitation in the cyberspace.

The event for the second time given in the UAE indicates the country’s continuous willingness to share international experience in protecting children. In the past ten years, the increase in online child sexual abuse and exploitation pushed the creation of WeProtect Global Alliance where over 310 governments, organizations and companies are combating this threat.
The Focus on the Future hallmark of this year’s summit will discuss innovative tools including advanced predictive and generative AI, quantum computing, and extended reality. They will identifies potential risks and opportunities of these discussions in child protection in cyberspace.

- Launch of a Pioneering Report: The alliance will launch a report Evolving Technologies Horizon Scan featuring findings from over than three hundred experts on how to address risks of innovation.
- AI Challenges: Surf will cover topics like deepfake technology and doctored photos as threats, and the countermeasures offered by law enforcement and tech industries.
- Workforce Resilience: Decline of research on government responding to online child exploitation will establish means and strategies that will enhance professionals working on these projects.
- Regulatory Needs: The major emphasis shall therefore be placed on the development of an applicable international context suitable for experiencing escalating technology progress rates.
