What is Eid Al Fitr?
The cultural holiday of Eid Al Fitr brings people together to celebrate the conclusion of Ramadan with shows of gratitude and sharing of generosity and features bright festivals. During Eid Al Fitr families celebrate together with celebratory eating occasions and gift sharing while performing charitable Zakat Al Fitr donations for those requiring assistance.

When is Eid Al Fitr 2025?
Eid dates use the Islamic Hijri calendar that bases its dates on observation of the new moon.

According to the Islamic Hijri calendar if Ramadan extends through 29 days then Eid Al Fitr 2025 will start on Sunday, March 30 for four consecutive days (March 30 – April 1).
The Government of Dubai provides the official information showing that if Ramadan stretches over 30 days Eid will commence on Monday, March 31, 2025 as a five-day public holiday spanning March 31 through April 2.

  • Massive Eid sales in malls on fashion, electronics, and more.
  • Special Eid brunches at top hotels and restaurants.
  • Entertainment and cultural performances across the city.

Public Transport & School Closures
The arrival of Eid triggers transportation timetable changes and affects parking arrangements and educational institution operations. The public transportation services might provide free parking lots and adjust their operating hours for metro systems as well as trams and buses.
