Dubai Financial Market Adds AI to iVestor App for Smarter Investment Decisions

New tools simplify company disclosures and boost financial literacy among investors

Moving forward, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has launched two AI based features – Smart Disclosures and Financial Summary within its iVestor app as part of efforts to enhance the ability of everyday investors to get company’s information and financial data as easy and as simple as possible.

The new tools are unveiled as part of DFM’s broader mission to simplify the way one invests and be part of Dubai’s capital markets, with the curtains rising at the 3rd MENA Capital Market Summit taking place from 6-7 May at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.

The Smart Disclosures feature uses artificial intelligence to crawl through a company’s long announcement and spit out a condensed replacement, highlighting the most important information. In contrast, the Financial Summary tool provides a quick, easy to use snap shot of a company’s key financial metrics: revenue, net profit, and earnings per share.

The upgrade fits with global trends toward more intuitive investment platforms, DFM CEO Hamed Ali said, adding that “the enhancement to data helps lower barriers of entry to participation and support a more educated and active base of investors.”

The updates come on the heels of DFM’s 2024 overhaul of the iVestor app – originally meant simply for dividend tracking – into a full investment service platform. Currently, with the use of iVestor, users can use one mobile interface to trade in shares, subscribe to IPO and also manage their portfolio and track market activity.

The iVestor app, which has more than 240,000 users from over 100 nationalities, is growing in leaps and bounds to become the preferred digital gateway to Dubai’s capital markets. Adding ai tools has made the investment process easier and faster and caters to younger tech savvy investors who prefer speed and simplicity.

This is yet another step on the company’s path to becoming a regional leader in financial innovation, putting investing into the hands of people, and making the process transparent, accessible, and engaging.
