Dubai AI & Web3 Festival Attracts Global Audience, Signals Major Growth for the Tech Industry

The first event of the Dubai AI &  Web3 Festival has ended with success, having received more than 6,800 visitors from over 100 countries under the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. Co-hosted by Dubai’s AI Campus together with the DIFC and the UAE’s Minister of State for AI, the event presented AI and Web3 business use-cases.

Over 100 exhibitors participated in the two-day event will see the participation of government agency heads, SME owners and managers, academics, employees and job seekers of industries of the future. CEO of DIFC Authority Arif Amiri said that Dubai has ramped up its efforts to support innovation. He said that the Dubai AI Campus had attracted more than 120 organisations within the initial one year, with an intention of reaching 500 organisations and generating 3,000 new positions by 2028.

Thus, the new AI License of Dubai and the ‘AI as a Service’ idea, which also denotes the growth of the city as an outstanding technological center. The event also showcased the Future Tech World Cup, the competition to redefine industries, saw AI and Web3 firms.

Discussions regarding AI regulation and compliance as well as AI-driven business transformation were held, In addition, MoUs were signed with Dubai Civil Defence, Visa, Zurich, and others to unlock the potential of AI and Web3. Thus, its successful completion, the festival is planning for the next year in November and by 2027 it is expecting to emerge as one of the largest AI event globally.
