Education Council Approves Results for 2023-2024 Academic Year and Outlines Future Development Plans

H. H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Education and Human Resources Council and H. H. Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President of the Council and Chairperson of Salama bint Hamdan Al Nehayan Foundation led the council online to discuss and approve the outcomes of the 2023-2024 academic year and strategies accumulated for enhancing education

There, he appreciated the hardworking efforts of the students, parents, educators, and others acknowledging the excellent performers among students. He stressed on the continuous process of striving to overcome the obstacles and improvement of the educational quality where the transitions at the end of the school year are also made in order to employ the best strategies for the acting year.

Sheikha Maryam endorsed all students, graduates, parents, and teachers noting the importance of parents in the success of the students. She called for people to focus at what happened in the previous year and for them to consider how they should move forward. She continued talking about values, skills, and interests during the summer vacation stressing on reading and family activities.

The council also endorsed the end-of-year results for Government schools after the assessment by the Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology Salama Sarah Al-Amiri. This concern involved reports of examination violations and non-fiction review methods to eliminate cheating in the assessments so that parents could get a genuine reflection of their children’s performance.

Strategies and initiatives for improving students’ achievement and other educational outcomes proposed by the Emirates Schools Establishment were also discussed. The council further endorsed reviewed policy on student performance assessment for the next academic year with different methods of making assessment with a view of identifying our areas of strength as well as those of challenge to the students so as to be in a position to assist the students to achieve the best results.

The council to promote educational standards met with key officials including Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education among other officials that are involved to prove the seriousness of the council to support education.
