Netflix Cancels ‘My Dad the Bounty Hunter’ After Two Seasons

These are examples of original animated series that have not progressed past two seasons: My Dad the Bounty Hunter that used to air on Netflix. Co-creator Everett Downing Jr. officially stepped forward to debunk the rumors, stating that filming has indeed been stopped but that he was grateful to be a part of the process of making the show. It is so positively reviewed that the second season of the series, which was released in August 2023, received a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Produced by Brian Michael Bendis and featuring Laz Alonso and Yvonne Orji, voiceovers, the show described the life of a space-searcher bounty hunter whose family was unaware of his chosen job. Even though the series landed up being canned, Downing wishes to return to the characters and tales one day.
