The World Health Expo 2026 Dubai (WHX), formerly known as Arab Health, officially opened on 9 February 2026 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), marking a new chapter for the world's premier healthcare event. Running until 12 February, WHX 2026 brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, innovators, and investors from 180 countries to explore the future of global and regional healthcare.
A 50-Year Legacy, Reimagined
Recognised as the world's largest healthcare platform, WHX enters its next chapter backed by a 50-year legacy as Arab Health. The 2026 edition hosted more than 4,300 exhibitors representing the full healthcare ecosystem — from medical technology and diagnostics to digital health and infrastructure.
Organised under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, the event reflects the UAE's sustained commitment to healthcare advancement. This year's edition featured a 15% increase in exhibition space compared to the previous year and is projected to generate over USD 2.5 billion in business value, signalling strong international investment interest.
Government Participation Strengthens Policy Dialogue
Government engagement is a central pillar of WHX 2026. Key institutions including the Dubai Health Authority and the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, alongside regional and international health authorities, contributed to the event's strategic programming.
Their involvement positions WHX as both a trade platform and a policy-focused forum, enabling cross-sector collaboration. The 2026 edition featured 32 country pavilions representing healthcare markets from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, with expanded zones covering medical equipment, digital health, wellness, and healthcare infrastructure.
Expanded Conferences and Learning Formats
WHX 2026 introduced new content formats alongside its established educational programmes. The event hosted over 300 expert speakers across sessions including CME-accredited conferences covering obstetrics, urology, radiology, public health, and patient safety.
Executive-level forums addressed healthcare leadership, digital transformation, and investment trends. The Visionary Stage spotlighted healthcare investment, artificial intelligence, and women in leadership, while the Future X Stage focused on emerging digital health solutions and disruptive business models.
A new addition was the Deep Dive Series — hands-on masterclasses and bootcamps for clinicians and executives, with a practical focus on digital transformation and sustainability.
Startups Compete for Innovation Recognition
Innovation took centre stage with the Xcelerate Competition, where 30 early-stage health-tech startups competed for a USD 25,000 prize pool along with mentorship and visibility opportunities. One participant was ultimately named the Xcelerate Champion of Innovation.
WHX Labs Runs Concurrently
WHX 2026 coincided with WHX Labs — formerly Medlab Middle East — held 10–13 February at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Focused on laboratory and diagnostic innovation, WHX Labs complemented the broader Expo and fostered cross-disciplinary collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and laboratory professionals.
Seamless Visitor Experience at DEC
With thousands of exhibitors and extensive networking opportunities, WHX 2026 offered attendees direct access to industry leaders, emerging technologies, and educational content. The Dubai Exhibition Centre's proximity to hotels, transport links, and hospitality services supported smooth participation for international visitors.
Shaping the Future of Global Healthcare
As healthcare systems worldwide continue to evolve, World Health Expo 2026 positioned itself as a key platform for shaping policy, investment, and innovation. For healthcare professionals, policymakers, investors, and innovators, WHX 2026 offered a focused opportunity to engage with the partnerships and ideas influencing the future of healthcare globally.
