Dubai Government Declares January 1st an Official Holiday

Dubai Government Human Resources (DGHR) Department said that all Dubai government departments will be closed for business on New Year’s Day on January 1, 2025. Normal business will continue as from Thursday January, 2nd 2025.

Ministers working in every ministry that applies shift working and the ministries of public services and facilities management also do not celebrate the holiday. These departments will model their staff rotas in this view to make sure that clients do not experience any delivery hitches over the holiday break.

The DGHR Department was also wishing the leadership, countrymen and residents of the UAE a prosperous and a happy blessed New Year during the announcement.

Of special importance, this official announcement asserts Dubai’s position about the recognition of public holidays and continuity of service provisions for the populace and visitors.
