Faena Red Sea Resort is already reshaping how Dubai travelers plan for 2026. The iconic luxury brand is making its Saudi debut on Shura Island, placing one of the most recognizable names in global hospitality at the center of Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Project.
Known for art-driven spaces and tightly curated guest experiences — from Miami to Buenos Aires — Faena is now tied to a destination drawing serious attention in international travel circles.
Faena Red Sea Resort: Signature Style Meets the Saudi Coast
Faena Red Sea Resort is set to feature around 150 suites and villas, each with a private pool and open sea views. The architectural vision comes from Foster + Partners, with Jouin Manku handling interiors — a pairing that signals the same level of ambition the brand has brought to every market it has entered.
The property will include six restaurants, a South American-inspired spa, a holistic healing house, and the nightlife venue The Living Room. Art installations and curated exhibitions are woven throughout the resort, consistent with Faena's identity as a hospitality brand that treats culture as infrastructure, not decoration.
Shura Island Is Becoming a Destination in Its Own Right
Faena Red Sea Resort sits on Shura Island, the anchor island within the Red Sea destination. The island opened its first resorts in late 2025 — SLS The Red Sea, InterContinental The Red Sea, and The Red Sea EDITION — and eight further properties are following in 2026, including Four Seasons, Jumeirah, Raffles, Rosewood, Grand Hyatt, Fairmont, and Miraval alongside Faena.
The island also features Shura Links, Saudi Arabia's first island golf course, a marina, and residential zones, making it a self-contained luxury destination rather than a single-resort stop.
The Red Sea Project and Vision 2030
The Red Sea destination is a flagship component of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the national economy through tourism and entertainment. The project spans approximately 28,000 square kilometers and incorporates more than 90 islands.
Development plans call for up to 50 resorts and thousands of hotel rooms across the destination. Shura Island is one of the primary development zones, and Faena is among the most prominent names confirmed for the 2026 wave of openings.
Dubai Travelers Are Already Watching
Dubai continues to anchor regional luxury travel, and the Faena Red Sea Resort is already drawing attention from frequent travelers in the city who track high-end openings well in advance. For those planning premium stays in the region, this is one of the most closely watched announcements of 2026.
With Foster + Partners architecture, a confirmed Shura Island location, and Faena's global reputation behind it, the resort is positioned to become one of the defining openings tied to the Red Sea Project. As the launch approaches, it remains firmly on the radar for travelers following luxury hospitality in the Middle East.
