Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has increased it EV Green Charger stations network to over 740 stations in Dubai as demand for electric vehicles continues to rise in the emirate. The charging stations can be easily accessed by simply looking at the DEWA site, application and 15 other touch points making it convenient for users that own an EV.

The new Regulatory and Licensing Framework for EV infrastructure launched in late 2020, as well as the issue of the first Independent Charge Point Operator licenses to Tesla and UAEV affirm Dubai’s commitment to supporting green innovation.
From the launch of the EV Green Charger network in 2014 till September, DEWA has provided 31,674 MWH of electricity to potential consumers, where such network has served 16,800 plus customers.
