Dubai Crowned World’s Cleanest City for the Fifth Year in a Row

This latest Global Power City Index (GPCI) has revealed that Dubai has again emerged as the world’s cleanest city, for the fifth time in succession. Dana: This is the award given by Japan’s Mori Memorial Foundation Institute for Urban Strategies: This once again confirms Dubai’s status of the world’s most sustainable city in terms of urban environment.

Coming out atop 48 cities worldwide, Dubai scored a 100 per cent in the cleanliness parameter that is part of the environment pillar, an important sub-component constituting the index that measures city’s resilience. His Excellency Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, attributed this to the leadership of UAE and hard work of more than 3,230 employees of Municipality.
