H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has reaffirmed his commitment to equipping the emirate's youth with modern technology skills — visiting the Fujairah Young Techpreneurs programme in person and calling digital training essential for the UAE's knowledge-based future.
Crown Prince Inspects Fujairah Young Techpreneurs at Zayed Complex
Sheikh Mohammed inspected the Young Techpreneurs programme at Zayed Educational Complex, meeting both students enrolled in the initiative and their instructors. The programme runs under Crown Prince patronage through a partnership between the Office of His Highness and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU).
The initiative runs from 6 April to 10 July 2025 and enrols 244 Fujairah students — 130 boys and 114 girls — from grades 3 to 9. Its curriculum covers three core areas: fundamentals of programming and AI tools, advanced programming and machine learning, and entrepreneurship combined with cybersecurity.
Royal Emphasis on Sustainable Development Through Technology
Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of giving young generations access to modern tools and knowledge, stating that doing so ensures sustainable development and sectoral growth throughout the UAE. His remarks aligned with the broader educational and innovation vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
During his inspection, the Crown Prince engaged directly with students and observed how the programme integrates classroom theory with practical training in programming, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
HBMSU Praises Royal Support for Youth Innovation
Dr. Mansour Al-Awar, President of HBMSU, praised Sheikh Mohammed's visit as significant motivational support for students. He noted that the Crown Prince's direct participation demonstrates the programme's importance and inspires students to contribute to national development through innovation.
Dr. Al-Awar highlighted the visit as an example of effective coordination between executive leadership and academic institutions in developing the UAE's science and technology capabilities.
Programme Structure: From AI Basics to Entrepreneurship
The Young Techpreneurs initiative is structured to build digital skills progressively. Students advance from foundational programming and AI literacy to advanced machine learning applications, before moving into entrepreneurship and cybersecurity in the final phase. Expert mentors guide youth tech participants throughout each stage.
Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Crown Prince's Office, accompanied Sheikh Mohammed during the visit to Zayed Educational Complex.
