The UAE Cybersecurity Council is developing guidelines related to drone use in the country.
The UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) stated that it has collaborated with Reach Digital and Shieldworkz to put together the country’s official Drone Cybersecurity Guidelines.

The announcement shows how the UAE’s vision for the future is bringing about tangible changes to make the nation more prepared for cyber security, digital transformation, and to become a top destination for innovation and technology.

Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Chief of UAE Cybersecurity, stated that the guidelines represent an important step towards improving the country’s drone industry and safeguarding all drone operations.

There are certain standards for cybersecurity drones in the UAE.
Aircraft, infrastructure, data, and privacy should be protected by actively preventing cyber risks linked to the use of UAVs in various sectors such as agriculture, the environment, and logistics.

Malik Melhem, CEO of Reach Group, commented: “This agreement demonstrates our continuous efforts to enhance the country’s technology and security systems.” Through our work with CSC, we help the nation prepare and offer cybersecurity services for the drone sector.

Mohammad Khaled, Reach Group’s Vice President of Growth and Business Transformation, says: “We are bolstering the UAE’s lead in securing future technologies by working with CSC and Shieldworkz on these guidelines.”

“The program is designed to encourage safe drone technology and handle the rising risks of cybersecurity in airspace and essential infrastructure.”
