Dubai is gearing up for a spectacular Dubai New Year's Eve 2025, with fireworks and live events lighting up iconic venues including Burj Khalifa, Global Village, and Dubai Design District. The Events Security Committee, working alongside 55 governmental and private entities, has released a detailed security and operations plan designed to keep every guest safe while delivering a world-class celebration.
Strategic Sector Division
Drawing on experience from previous years, Dubai has been divided into four functional operational areas — North, Central, West, and Maritime — to coordinate security and service delivery across the emirate.
Security on the night will be provided by 8,530 police officers, 1,145 motorized patrols, 33 marine rescue boats, and six mobile operation rooms. Temporary medical centres, first-aid stations, and child-reunion points will be erected across the Downtown Dubai area.
Traffic and Transport Plans
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has put strict measures in place for the public:
- Roads around Burj Khalifa will be closed from 4 PM on New Year's Eve. - 260 shuttle buses will operate throughout the evening. - Dubai Metro will run non-stop for 43 hours, with enhanced parking capacity and shuttle links to key celebration zones.
Commuters are strongly advised to use public transport and plan their journeys before heading out.
Health and Safety Measures
Dubai Health's field hospital near Burj Khalifa and six additional hospitals, backed by seven medical points, will together deploy 1,800 healthcare workers on the night.
Medical assistance options include emergency ambulances, marine rescue boats, and telemedical services available through a dedicated call centre.
Worker-Friendly Initiatives
Large screens and meal services have been set up across key operational sites so that workers and staff can celebrate the New Year without moving into crowded public areas — a thoughtful initiative ensuring everyone can mark the occasion safely.
Municipal and Civil Defence Readiness
Dubai Municipality will deploy 2,776 employees and 246 vehicles to maintain cleanliness and food hygiene standards across all celebration zones throughout the night.
Dubai Civil Defence has trained 1,097 firefighters, supported by 123 vehicles, to respond to emergencies across five major areas of the city.
A Message from Dubai Police
Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri appealed to the public to play their part — staying observant and cooperative — so that everyone can enjoy a safe and memorable Dubai New Year's Eve 2025.
With these extensive preparations in place, Dubai is set to deliver another spectacular night that the world will be watching.
