flydubai has announced the launch of double-daily flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in Bangkok, strengthening tourism and business travel links between Dubai and Thailand. Economy Lite return fares start from AED 2,500, with Business Class returns from AED 9,000.
The new service launches on September 15, 2026, ahead of the winter travel season. The double-daily schedule improves connectivity for passengers travelling from the GCC, Europe and other regions through Dubai, offering greater flexibility and smoother one-stop connections across Southeast Asia.
Dubai–Bangkok Flight Schedule and Route Details
The new Dubai–Bangkok flights will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport to Don Mueang International Airport — one of Bangkok's two main international gateways.
Key highlights:
- Two daily flights in each direction from September 15, 2026 - Operations from DXB Terminal 3 - Service to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) - DXB departures: 11:00 (FZ 1335, arriving DMK 20:45) and 01:20 (FZ 1345, arriving DMK 11:10) - DMK departures: 23:50 (FZ 1336, arriving DXB 03:20) and 12:10 (FZ 1346, arriving DXB 15:40)
With this addition, flydubai will increase its Thailand operations to 28 weekly flights. Bangkok becomes the airline's second Thai destination after Krabi, reinforcing Southeast Asia as a strategic growth market for the carrier.
The flights will operate under the existing codeshare partnership with Emirates, allowing passengers to book single itineraries with through check-in for baggage and access to coordinated schedules across a combined network of more than 240 global destinations.
Boost for Dubai–Thailand Tourism
The new flydubai Dubai–Bangkok service is expected to significantly strengthen tourism flows in both directions.
From Dubai, travellers gain easier access to Bangkok's cultural landmarks, street food markets, temples, shopping districts and onward island destinations. Don Mueang's location north of central Bangkok also provides convenient access to regional connections across Thailand.
In the opposite direction, Thai travellers and visitors connecting via Bangkok benefit from improved access to Dubai's beach resorts, desert experiences, theme parks and global shopping events.
Industry observers note that increased flight frequency typically encourages shorter city breaks and repeat visits, rather than one-off long-haul trips.
Strengthening Dubai as a Global Aviation Hub
The Bangkok route further enhances Dubai's standing as a global aviation hub linking Europe and the GCC with Southeast Asia.
flydubai now serves more than 135 destinations. Through its partnership with Emirates, passengers access a combined network of more than 240 global destinations, with integrated schedules and shared use of Terminal 3 at Dubai International.
The dual-airport presence in Bangkok — with flydubai operating to Don Mueang and Emirates serving Suvarnabhumi — expands travel options for passengers while increasing flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.
Business and Leisure Travel Appeal
The Bangkok route will offer both Economy Class and Business Class cabins. The double-daily pattern provides flexibility for business travellers scheduling meetings across time zones, while leisure travellers benefit from flight times suited to hotel check-ins and tour departures.
Don Mueang Airport also serves as a key hub for regional low-cost carriers, making it ideal for multi-destination trips across Thailand and neighbouring countries.
Economic Impact and Regional Growth
Increased seat capacity between Bangkok and Dubai is expected to benefit hotels, tour operators, retail sectors and MICE industries in both markets. Tourism stakeholders anticipate stronger visitor flows from high-spending GCC and European travellers into Thailand, while Dubai's visitor economy stands to gain greater arrivals from Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President at flydubai, said: "We are pleased to strengthen our presence in Thailand with the launch of double-daily flights."
Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer, noted: "Thailand remains a very popular destination for both leisure and business travel."
From mid-September 2026, the new flydubai Dubai–Bangkok route is set to strengthen economic ties, enhance tourism exchange and provide greater travel flexibility for passengers across both regions.
