Dubai has unveiled Therme Dubai, a $545 million (AED 2 billion) project set to become the world's tallest well-being resort. Located inside Zabeel Park at the heart of the city, the 100-metre vertical structure is scheduled to open in 2028 and attract 1.7 million visitors annually.
Part of Dubai's Quality of Life Strategy 2033
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, approved the project and underscored its alignment with Dubai's Quality of Life Strategy 2033. Launched in May 2024, the strategy encompasses more than 200 initiatives designed to make Dubai the world's best city in which to live.
Speaking at the announcement, Sheikh Hamdan described Therme Dubai as a reflection of the emirate's commitment to biodiversity, environmental sustainability, and community well-being.
Key Features of Therme Dubai

Design by Diller Scofidio + Renfro
The resort has been designed by internationally acclaimed architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, the firm behind New York's High Line and The Shed. Their concept, titled "Islands in the Sky," stacks botanical gardens and thermal pools on elevated terraces, blending lush greenery with crystalline water throughout the tower's height.
Therme Group — a global leader in well-being infrastructure — is the project partner driving Therme Dubai's development alongside Dubai's government entities.
A New Benchmark for Wellness Tourism
Therme Dubai is expected to reshape wellness tourism and position Dubai as a worldwide leader in sustainable urban development. The resort's combination of luxury facilities, nature-immersive design, and environmental standards sets a new benchmark for well-being destinations globally.
Once operational, the landmark will join Zabeel Park's existing attractions beside the Royal Palace in central Dubai, offering residents and tourists a world-class urban retreat.
