Etihad Airways is dramatically scaling up its Jaipur–Abu Dhabi flights, lifting frequency from four to ten per week from December 15, 2024 — a decision made less than four months after the route's launch. The rapid expansion reflects surging passenger demand on one of the airline's newest Indian routes.
Route Doubling Driven by 'Sensational Demand'
Arik De, Etihad's Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, credited the response from travelers for the accelerated growth: "This service has witnessed sensational demand and therefore we will be upgrading the weekly flights to offer the services our guests want in terms of frequency and timings."
The new schedule is designed to provide better connections for passengers traveling from Jaipur to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and onward destinations across Etihad's global network. The airline launched the Jaipur service in June 2024 and has since seen load factors strong enough to justify more than doubling the operation.
Part of a Broader India Push
The Jaipur frequency increase is part of Etihad's wider effort to deepen its footprint in the Indian market. Over the past year, the airline has grown its India capacity by 39 per cent, now serving 11 cities across the subcontinent. The airline recently marked 20 years since its first flight to India.
Flights between Jaipur and Abu Dhabi operate on Airbus A320 family aircraft, offering Etihad's award-winning service across Business and Economy cabins with convenient timings for onward connections.
US Pre-Clearance and Free Abu Dhabi Stopovers
Passengers flying from Jaipur to the United States gain a key advantage at Abu Dhabi Airport: a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) pre-clearance facility that streamlines the immigration process before departure, making Abu Dhabi one of only a handful of airports worldwide to offer this service.
Etihad also extends its complimentary stopover programme to Jaipur travelers, providing up to two free nights in premium Abu Dhabi hotels — reinforcing the emirate's growing profile as a leisure and transit destination in its own right.
