The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has resumed enhanced marine transport services at Dubai's Water Canal and Business Bay following the completion of improvement works. The renewed service runs two routes — DC2 and DC3 — linking residential neighbourhoods with the city's most popular tourist destinations, at a flat fare of AED 2 per stop.

DC2 Route: Business Bay and Water Canal

The DC2 line connects Waterfront, Marasi, Business Bay, Godolphin, and Sheikh Zayed Road stations, serving both business commuters and leisure travellers.

Operating hours are 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sundays. Services run at intervals of 30 to 50 minutes throughout the day.

DC3 Route: Al Jaddaf to Dubai Design District

The DC3 line links Al Jaddaf Station with Dubai Design District Marine Transport Station, also providing access to Creek Metro Station on the Green Line.

This route operates on weekends only — Saturday and Sunday — from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a frequency of every 35 minutes. The fare is AED 2 per stop.

RTA's Vision for Waterfront Mobility

Khalaf Hassan Abdullah Belghuzooz Al Zarooni, Director of Marine Transport at RTA's Public Transport Agency, highlighted the significance of the improved services for Dubai's waterfront development. He said the initiative aims to "efficiently achieve our objectives of supporting the economy, enhancing the quality of projects and life."

The enhancements are aligned with RTA's Marine Transport Plan 2020–2030, which targets increased ridership, expanded tourism connectivity, and integration with soft mobility options. Both DC2 and DC3 stations offer bicycle and e-scooter connections, supporting Dubai's broader sustainable transport goals.

Full schedules, route maps, and service information are available at rta.ae and through the RTA smart applications.
