WeRide and Uber have agreed on a new pilot project to use self-driving robot taxis in Abu Dhabi before the end of this year. Another fulfillment of this trend is the partnership between WeRide founded by Tony Han and the city of Zhaoqing, which also aims to deliver on a global scale affordable, safe and environmental friendly mobility. In the same order of ideas, Uber’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi also stressed the global vision for enhanced mobility and for it to be electrified, shared and self-driven.
It was signed during the signing ceremony with top management officials from both companies present including Andrew Macdonald from Uber, Senior Vice President of Mobility, and Business Operations and Hua Zhong, WeRide Senior Vice President.
