# ADJD Tops Global Judicial Indicators with 33-Day Case Resolution
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) delivered a landmark performance in global judicial indicators during the first quarter of 2024, resolving first instance court cases in an average of 33 days and appellate court cases in just 32 days — figures that place Abu Dhabi among the world's fastest justice systems.
The achievement reflects years of procedural reform driven by the vision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.
Key Results: Q1 2024 at a Glance
Litigation Period Reduction - First Instance Courts: average case resolved in 33 days - Appellate Courts: average case resolved in 32 days
Complaint Reduction - Complaints fell 83.4% compared to Q1 2023
Online Services - The Estafser (Inquire) platform answered 96% of queries within three working days
Remote and Digital Judicial Requests - 235,619 remote judicial requests processed - 16,570 video sessions held in criminal matters - 137,949 video sessions held in civil matters
Court-by-Court Completion Rates
The ADJD's three specialist courts each posted near-perfect case completion rates:
- Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Cases Court: 98% completion across 4,640 cases - Abu Dhabi Commercial Court: 99% completion across 4,495 cases - Abu Dhabi Labour Court: 99% completion across 758 cases
Public Prosecution and Criminal Courts
The Public Prosecution issued 11,553 criminal orders and resolved 53,246 cases during the quarter. Criminal courts handed down 35,704 final decisions.
Notary Public Services
ADJD notary offices completed 20,810 notary public transactions, 14,724 certification services, and 1,374 marriage contracts.
