Dubai and the wider UAE are entering a landmark week as a nationwide celebration honouring ties with Kuwait officially begins. Running from January 29 until February 4, the festival carries the name UAE and Kuwait Brothers Forever and places culture, public events, and shared history front and centre.
The programme spans all seven Emirates, activating public spaces, live performances, arts programming, and visitor experiences. Landmarks, beaches, cultural venues, and major districts are scheduled to host activities tied to the long-standing relationship between the two countries. This is a public calendar moment, not a background celebration — and it is set to dominate the week.
A Nationwide Festival With 40+ Official Events
The UAE and Kuwait Brothers Forever festival schedule includes more than 40 official events announced by UAE authorities. Activities are confirmed in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain.
Public landmarks are set to display Kuwaiti flag colours throughout the week, including prominent locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Streets, destinations, and public venues are taking part through lighting programmes and cultural displays built around the theme of fraternity. The goal is direct and visible: celebrate shared history and keep it accessible to residents, visitors, and Kuwaiti guests.
Concerts and Public Performances Lead the Calendar
Live music anchors several headline events during the UAE Kuwait Brothers Forever Week.
On January 29, Abu Dhabi hosts Kuwaiti Nights at ADNEC, featuring performances by Nabil Shuail, Ahlam, and Ayedh Al Menhali.
On January 30, Dubai hosts Kuwait's Timeless Nights at Burj Park. The concert lineup includes Hussain Al Jassmi, Balqees, and Mutref Al Mutref. The venue places the event in direct view of Downtown Dubai, with large public attendance expected.
In addition to concerts, drone displays and fireworks are scheduled at locations including Burj Al Arab and Dubai Festival City starting January 29.
Kite Beach, Cinema, and Cultural Programming
Dubai's Kite Beach hosts Kuwait at Home from January 29 through February 4. The beach programme includes live entertainment, food experiences, and daily public activities.
The Al Fursan aerobatic team is scheduled to perform air shows on February 1 and February 2, adding aviation displays to the week's calendar.
Cultural programming also features Kuwaiti Cinema Week at selected Dubai cinemas, showcasing classic Kuwaiti films.
On February 3, Expo City Dubai's House of Arts hosts the Firdaus Orchestra, alongside a talk by Kuwaiti artist Munira Al Shami. Fujairah Fort begins a heritage-style festival starting January 31.
Special Hospitality for Kuwaiti Visitors
Kuwaiti citizens visiting the UAE during the festival period receive dedicated hospitality measures. These include airport welcome receptions with commemorative gifts, free entry to the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi, and exclusive offers at destinations such as Yas Island and Louvre Abu Dhabi. The initiatives are part of the official festival framework and apply during the announced dates.
Why the UAE-Kuwait Celebration Matters
Kuwait was among the earliest supporters of the UAE in 1971, prior to the formal completion of the Union. Diplomatic relations followed in 1972, establishing a long-standing partnership that continues through political, cultural, and social cooperation. The Brothers Forever festival places that history in public view through a coordinated national programme.
From concerts and air shows to cinema screenings and cultural talks, the UAE and Kuwait Brothers Forever festival places shared history into everyday public life for an entire week. For residents and visitors, the calendar offers daily moments tied to culture, art, and public celebration. For the UAE and Kuwait, it marks a visible statement of continuity and connection that remains part of the present.
