With the kind sponsorship of H.H Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi the Al Ain Book Festival 2024 started its colorful journey at, Al Ain Square, Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. The second edition of the Arabic literature festival will be organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), for ‘All Eyes on Al Ain’ which continues through November 23, will provide a cultural spectacle that embraces Emirati customs and encourage reading.
The literary and art event has over 200 activities that involve influential literary personalities in literature, art, and poetry from around the world with a spirit of steering the youth and adults in the UAE to understand the nation’s roots. Dr. Abd Ali bin Tamim Al Mohammadi the Chairman of the ALC said that the event shall shape a readership generation and shall bring people closer to the language and the UAE heritage.
A Cultural and Educational Center
About a week ago, the celebration of the Book Festival in Al Ain reasserted the emirate’s tradition for humanism and scholarship, the significance of books and education. This tallies with the fact that the city is the Capital for the Gulf Tourism 2025 and many of the festivals are taking place at historic sites in the city.
There are cultural areas and over 200 industry exhibitions, with 100 000 titles for visitors to browse. Celebrate events are to take place in six major facilities including Al Ain Square, Al Jahili Fort and UAE University besides engaging celebration in three major malls.

Key initiatives like Poetry Nights:
The Sung Poetry unites the poetry of the UAE to segments remembering dead poets, the development of poetry in the country and invoking Poets Majlis with modern inspiration. This year’s version also honors Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan as a literary laureate of the year.
