Dubai is gearing up for an extraordinary New Year's Eve 2025, with 36 firework shows planned at Burj Khalifa and major landmarks including Global Village and Dubai Design District. Operating under the Events Security Committee with support from 55 government and private partnerships, a comprehensive plan has been developed to ensure safety, efficiency, and a spectacular experience for residents and visitors alike.
Strategic Zone Division
Building on the success of previous years, Dubai has been divided into four operational zones — North, Central, Western, and Maritime — to coordinate security and services across the city.
Dubai Police will mobilise 8,530 officers, 1,145 patrols, 33 marine rescue boats, and six mobile operation rooms to monitor all celebration areas. Dedicated marquees in Downtown Dubai will offer first aid, lost-and-found services, and assistance for lost children.
Worker-Friendly Initiatives
Authorities have made special arrangements so that workers can enjoy the Dubai New Year's Eve 2025 celebrations without venturing into crowded hotspots. Large screens and complimentary meals have been set up in workers' residential areas for a safe and festive experience.
Traffic and Transport Plans
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will close roads around Burj Khalifa from 4 PM on December 31. Key measures include:
- 260 shuttle buses operating across major routes - Dubai Metro running non-stop for 43 hours, covering both Red and Green Lines - Additional bus stops created near key celebration venues
The RTA urges all visitors to use public transport and plan travel well in advance to avoid congestion.
Health and Safety Measures
Dubai Health Authority has established a field hospital near Burj Khalifa and deployed 1,800 medical staff across six medical centres and seven medical spots. Emergency support includes ambulances, marine rescue boats, and a telemedicine contact centre for remote consultations.
Municipal and Civil Defence Readiness
Dubai Municipality has mobilised 2,776 staff and 246 vehicles for cleaning and food safety operations throughout the celebration zones. Dubai Civil Defence has stationed 1,097 firefighters and 123 emergency vehicles across five sectors to respond swiftly to any incident.
Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, stressed that the public plays an equally important role in maintaining security — urging everyone to follow guidelines and cooperate with officials.
With these elaborate preparations firmly in place, Dubai is set to deliver another safe and unforgettable New Year's Eve celebration to welcome 2025.
