The creative wing of the Government of Dubai Media Office , Brand Dubai, has unveiled the 11th version of the Flag Garden at Jumeirah Beach, Umm Suqeim 2 . This year’s show, under the #ZayedAndRashid theme, commemorates the UAE’s founding fathers, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. A garden of UAE flags numbering 11,600 that was arranged in portraits of these giant leaders shows the important roles they played in the nation’s development.

The 2024 Flag Garden is an incredible 75 meters in length and stands at 104 meters tall, making the 2024 Flag Garden the largest in the Brand Dubai series. Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai mentioned that This years Flag Garden is dedicated to two pioneers whose leadership prepared the groundwork for the UAE. It commemorates the first Americans, the Founding Fathers who formed the Union and charted our nation for incredible prosperity.

In line with the theme of unity and patriotism the Flag Garden has been used to represent Emirati pride during major national occasions. In response, Mahra Alyouha, Project Manager, said, “Flag Garden 2024 aligns with the UAE’s Flag Day, November 3, and Eid Al Etihad on December 2”. The Garden likewise continues to be made available to the general public until 10th January 2025, and encourages citizens, residents and tourist to join this beloved yearly tradition.

Expanding on last year’s homage to Dubai’s leadership, Brand Dubai’s 2024 Flag Garden is part of a wider #ZayedAndRashid initiative initiated by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is being conducted with various government and private bodies and falls under UAE’s 53rd National Day. People are welcome to share their experiences on the social media with the hash tag #UAEFlagGarden.
