The UAE Flag Garden Dubai 2024 is back at Umm Suqeim Beach, with thousands of UAE flags framing one of the city's most iconic skylines. Organised by Brand Dubai — the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office — this year marks the 11th consecutive edition of the beloved annual installation, and its largest to date.
11,600 Flags Form Portraits of the Founding Fathers
The 2024 Flag Garden features 11,600 UAE flags arranged to create aerial portraits of the nation's Founding Fathers: His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The installation spans 75 metres in length and 104 metres in width, making it the biggest Flag Garden Brand Dubai has ever produced.
The display is organised under the #ZayedAndRashid national campaign, which pays tribute to the two leaders' foundational contributions to the UAE's remarkable development.
Dates, Location, and Free Entry
The UAE Flag Garden is open from 31 October 2024 until 10 January 2025, welcoming visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Entry is completely free.
The installation is located on Jumeirah Beach near Umm Suqeim Park, Umm Suqeim 2, with the Burj Al Arab as a backdrop — making it one of the most photogenic spots in Dubai during the national celebrations season.
A Backdrop for UAE Flag Day and National Day
The UAE Flag Garden coincides with two major national occasions: UAE Flag Day on 3 November and Eid Al Etihad (National Day) on 2 December. UAE Flag Day commemorates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's assumption of the presidency in 2004.
In preparation for Flag Day, ministries and government institutions were directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to hoist the UAE flag on Friday, 1 November, at 11 a.m.

The Flag Garden has become a fixture of the Dubai social media calendar, drawing citizens, residents, and tourists who use the installation as a backdrop for photographs and short videos. Visitors are encouraged to share their posts using the hashtags #ZayedAndRashid and #UAEFlagGarden.
Last year's edition featured more than 6,000 flags; the 2024 edition nearly doubles that count at 11,600, underscoring the growing scale of this national tradition over the past decade.
