Hamdan bin Mohammed Awards Excellence in Government Services, Recognises Innovations Under Services 360 Policy

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Crown Prince and the Chairman of The Executive Council awarded the esteemed Hamdan Flag to the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs for his excellent service under the Services 360 policy. The honor marks the Directorate’s continuous effort to make its services easy to use, well integrated and ready for upcoming challenges.

The Dubai’s government entities were honored with an awardee during the annual awards ceremony which took place as part of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services. 997 government serving were revamped under the services 360 initiative and these transformations generated AED2.3 billion for clients and AED1.6 billion save to Dubai’s public entities. Improvements in service delivery rates were linked to a 93% reduction in waiting times and visits and significant reduction of processing and completion cycles.

“Sheikh Hamdan said “We guarantee that our government services set the standard when they exceed the citizens’ expectations,” Sheikh Hamdan said. “The Services 360 strategy is transforming the delivery of service, using data analytics and making the customer the center of the design process”.

The Dubai Customs received an award, Best Pioneer Initiative, for its initiative Cross-Border e-Commerce initiative that promotes real-time customs clearance and makes Dubai a key destination in the world of e-commerce. Dubai Police won the Best Digital City Experience Award for “Ahsan Allah Aza’akum” initiative; digital solution which improves death-related process with multiple government agencies.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) maintained its position at the top in terms of customer trust, indicating a continued attempt to achieve higher levels of service quality in Dubai.

Conducted under the lead of Dubai Model Centre, the assessment had expert and resident’s view to emphasise impact, innovation, integration, culture and sustainability.

His excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti thanked the initiative for having managed to turn leadership vision into reality. In a collaborative fashion and as a result of high customer satisfaction, Dubai continues to be a leader in government service innovation in the region.
