Bollywood star John Abraham has a clear message for Gen Z and Gen Alpha: invest in property before splurging on fleeting experiences. Speaking during a recent visit to Dubai, the actor-producer made a strong case for long-term security over short-term indulgence.
"I wish Gen Zs all the very best in their experiences. But I'll buy property," he said with a laugh. "You need a roof on your head. You need that security."
Security Over Short-Term Trends
While many young people today prioritise travel, dining, and lifestyle experiences over homeownership, Abraham believes financial stability should come first. Rising living costs and financial pressures have made younger generations increasingly hesitant about buying homes — but the actor argues that hesitation is a mistake.
For Abraham, real estate is far more than just an asset. It represents family, stability, and long-term planning.
"I think it's connectivity and a sense of family," he explained. "I care a lot about the elderly. Elder care is very important to me. Moving to a place where my parents could be looked after, where they feel connected in a community — that's far more important than having the fanciest house in town."
Promoting Holistic Living in Dubai
Abraham was in the UAE to support Treppan Living by Fakhruddin Properties, a development focused on wellness and clean living rather than conventional luxury.
"We're not selling a property, we're selling a lifestyle," he said. "It's about holistic living, a 360-degree lifestyle."
What drew him to the project wasn't flashy architecture or premium finishes, but the emphasis on well-being and community-focused living.
"Any other developer would have spoken about furniture or design. He spoke about lifestyle. That interested me," Abraham added.
Coming from a family of architects, the partnership felt natural. Beyond acting, he has built a reputation as a disciplined entrepreneur and investor, making calculated decisions both on and off screen.
Luxury Must Include Wellness
For the action star known for films like Dhoom, Force, and Pathaan, luxury without health makes little sense.
"A clean lifestyle is a luxury in today's world," he said. "Lifestyle should be non-negotiable."
He also highlighted Dubai's structured and well-planned urban environment as an ideal testing ground for wellness-led developments, suggesting that similar models could work in cities like Mumbai, where pollution and urban stress are daily realities.
Discipline and Long-Term Vision
Abraham's philosophy extends well beyond property. Known for his intense fitness discipline, he believes consistency is the foundation of everything.
"There's no break day for me. Discipline is a way of life," he said.
Looking ahead, Abraham remains focused on credibility — in cinema, business, and the partnerships he chooses. For him, the takeaway is simple: buying property in Dubai isn't just about owning real estate. It's about building security, supporting family, and investing in a lifestyle that outlasts any temporary trend.
