Dubai continues attracting global personalities who choose the emirate for its lifestyle and security — and few have made that case more pointedly than Caroline Stanbury. The Real Housewives of Dubai and The Traitors star told Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea in March 2026 that despite escalating Iran tensions, she still feels safer in Dubai than in the United States or most European cities.
Caroline Stanbury Speaks Out on Dubai Safety
Stanbury, 49, was in Los Angeles with her husband Sergio Carrallo when the Iran conflict dominated headlines. Her twin sons, Zack and Aaron (16), were back in Dubai with their father, her ex-husband Cem Habib.
Rather than panic, she offered perspective rooted in lived experience.
"There were 600 missiles, 500 drones intercepted... we have had three deaths," she said. "I still feel safer there than I do in most European or American cities right now."
To underline the point, Stanbury noted she had been in Austin, Texas, just 24 hours before a mass shooting struck the city — making Dubai's security record feel, to her, comparatively strong.
Her sons shared the same calm. When she checked in, they reassured her: "Mom, calm down. We're fine, stay over there."
Stranded in LA, Counting Down to March 15
Despite her confidence in Dubai's safety, Stanbury was eager to return home. The first direct flight from Los Angeles available to her departed on March 15, and she was on it.
"I am on the first flight, which is the 15th," she confirmed.
She and Carrallo had been staying with a friend in LA while monitoring events from afar. Even with the conflict unfolding, her focus remained on getting back to the city she calls home.
The Real Housewives of Dubai Put the City on the Map
Stanbury has lived in Dubai for several years and is one of the emirate's most recognisable celebrity residents. She became a central figure in Bravo's The Real Housewives of Dubai, which premiered in 2022 as the first instalment of the long-running franchise set in the Middle East.
The show introduced a global audience to Dubai's social scene — luxury residences, waterfront venues, charity events, and high-profile gatherings featured across its episodes. Stanbury's earlier television career in London had already built her a following, and her relocation to Dubai became woven into her story on the programme.
Episodes captured the lifestyle that keeps international personalities drawn to the city: fine dining, beach clubs, and a social calendar that rarely slows.
Celebrity Life Keeps Dubai in the Spotlight
Dubai's appeal to entertainment figures is a consistent media theme, and Stanbury's comments add another prominent data point. Television programmes, celebrity interviews, and social media posts regularly highlight life in the emirate.
Through her own Instagram and television appearances, Stanbury frequently shares moments from restaurants, social gatherings, and family life in the city. Her visibility on The Real Housewives of Dubai placed her among the personalities most closely associated with the Dubai lifestyle.
Even from Los Angeles, caught between two continents during a tense news cycle, her message was unambiguous: Dubai is home, and she could not wait to get back.
