How to Get a Digital Emirates ID in the UAE

Your Emirates ID is a very useful in UAE and it serves numerous functions such as government services, payments, and getting a discount. However, if your actual physical card is under renewal, replacement or even lost? In a way that is not at all as inconvenient as it may seem, a digital Emirates ID is virtually the same as a physical one in terms of efficiency and usability.

Using the UAE Pass App

Now citizens of the UAE can use the UAE Pass application and get access to certain public online services. Follow these steps to download your digital Emirates ID:

  • Lauch the UAE Pass application on your smartphone and go to the Federal Authority for Identity,
  • Citizenship, Customs and Port Security section.
  • Select ‘Emirates ID Card.’
  • This information must be then verified by the impassive face scan.
  • Get the copy of the digital Emirates ID.

Through the UAEICP App

The UAEICP app is another tool for accessing public services and obtaining a digital Emirates ID:

  • You have to connect the UAE Pass account with the UAEICP app to use it for accessing the UAE news To do that;
  • On the main window, press on ‘Emirates ID’.
  • Click on your name to see your ID information.
  • Extract it and save it as a PDF format in your device.

Accessing via QR Code

For added convenience, you can use the QR code feature in the UAEICP app:

  • Click on the ‘Emirates ID QR Code’ link on the front page of the application.
  • Emirates ID number, personal information, or the registered mobile number you have used while registering must be used to validate the particulars.
  • After the identification confirmation you get a bar code with all the necessary details of the physical Emirates ID.

With those methods, you can store your Emirates ID on your phone or any other device, and first, access all the features whenever, wherever with just one click across the UAE.
