# Air Arabia Launches Sharjah–Vienna Direct Flights
Air Arabia is adding Vienna, the capital of Austria, to its European network with a brand-new direct route from Sharjah International Airport. Beginning December 20, the airline will operate four weekly non-stop flights between the two cities, giving passengers a faster, more affordable connection between the UAE and Central Europe.
Route Details: Four Flights a Week
The Sharjah–Vienna service runs four times per week, providing regular non-stop access without the need for a connecting hub. Flights operate on a set weekly schedule, keeping travel times predictable for both leisure and business passengers.
Air Arabia will deploy its Airbus A320 and A321neo-LR aircraft on the route — among the most modern and fuel-efficient single-aisle jets in commercial service today. The cabin configuration delivers one of the widest economy seat pitches available on a low-cost carrier, a detail that matters on a flight of this distance.
CEO: Vienna Enhances Affordable European Travel
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, welcomed the expansion: "The addition of Vienna enhances the company's global affordable travel commitment and has great potential for both business and tourism."
Al Ali added that Air Arabia is "eagerly waiting to host passengers on board to discover the wonderful and vibrant city of Vienna" — underscoring the airline's confidence in leisure demand on the new route.
Why Sharjah–Vienna Matters
Vienna is a major European gateway, drawing millions of visitors annually for its culture, history, and business events. A direct, low-cost link from Sharjah removes the friction — and extra cost — of connecting through a secondary hub in Europe or the Gulf.
The route also reinforces Air Arabia's position as one of the region's leading low-cost carriers, building on its existing European destinations with a city that appeals to both UAE-based holidaymakers and Austrian travellers heading to the Gulf.
The new Sharjah–Vienna service reflects Air Arabia's continued strategy of expanding its affordable long-haul and medium-haul network, making it easier for travellers across the UAE and wider region to reach more of Europe without paying full-service fares.
