After two months of no petrol price change, the UAE will confirm its March 2025 petrol prices later this week, having raised them also in February. However, despite these fluctuations, motorists still find fuel cheaper than a year ago.
However, in February 2025 the fuel prices edged up as such:
- E-Plus 91: AED 2.55 per liter (up from AED 2.43 in January)
- Special 95: AED 2.63 per liter (up from AED 2.50 in January)
- Super 98: AED 2.74 per liter (up from AED 2.61 in January)
- Diesel: AED 2.82 per liter (up from AED 2.68 in January)
While the fuel price increase comes as no surprise, it is cheaper than fuel this time last year with Special 95 and Super 98 both dropping AED 2.76 and AED 2.88 per litre, respectively.
Since March 2021, the UAE has lifted price controls and left rates to be altered by the country’s Fuel Price Committee, adjusted according to trends in the global oil market. Petrol costs are influenced on the other hand by crude oil prices worldwide that are still fluctuating because of supply and demand dynamics.
UAE motorists will use with the coming March 2025 price announcement to discover if fuel costs will increase, decrease or stabilize in the following month.
