Overview of UAE Golden Visa

UAE Golden Visa is one of the popular residency options for now that can provide long-stay without having to frequently renew it. It was formerly offered only to persons who had a considerable influence or who employed a rare kind of knowledge; the visa is now available to countless individuals.

Key Features of the Golden Visa

The Golden Visa offers the functional residency for five to ten years and grants the right and possibility to work, study and live in the UAE without a local sponsor. It also makes it possible for 100% business control on the mainland making it favorite among investors, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals.

Categories Eligible for the Golden Visa

Investors

Eligibility of property investors may be met by purchasing real estate of not less than AED 2 million. It can be bought off-plan, ready and equipped, or freehold, or bought with a mortgage. Also allowed are public investors with a stake of at least AED 2 million in company capital or those paying tax amounting to AED 250,000 per year.

Entrepreneurs

It is open for those people who own SMEs, being partners in them and creating a turnover of at least a million AED, or those who have sold a business for more than 7 million AED.

Exceptional Talents

It is open to creators, painters, writers, etc., recognized by the government; there is no need for a diploma.

Scientists

Persons having PhD or master’s degree holders specialized in specific fields and have achieved prestige, having a monthly wage not less than AED 30,000 can apply for a visa.

Professionals

Only workers paid a minimum basic wage of AED 30,000 primarily in the engineering, information technology, and healthcare industries will be allowed.

Outstanding Students and Graduates

Applicants must be studying at a UAE university or at any university in the top 100 globally and they have to meet certain academic performance standards.

Humanitarian Pioneers and Frontline Heroes

Another segment of the population also has the opportunity to obtain a Golden Visa – people who received recognition for their work in humanitarian fields or in such vital sectors as healthcare during emergencies.

Benefits and Perks of the Golden Visa

As mentioned above, there are several benefits that are associated with this kind of visa. Other privileges include, but are not limited to, longer stay (up to 10 years), self-employment, family sponsorship, and concessional healthcare. Also, holders are in a position to get discounts through the Dubai Police Esaad privilege card.
