Speaking on behalf of Kuwait,s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya underscored the significance of the 160th Ministerial Council meeting of the GCC countries enshrine in Doha, Qatar. In a statement to KUNA, Minister Al-Yahya highlighted that the ministerial meeting included two key sessions: one of ministers’ meetings between the GCC states and the Republic of Yemen, and the another ministers’ meeting between the GCC states and the Republic of Türkiye.
Minister Al-Yahya reiterated Kuwait’s aspirations to increasing cooperation and coordination with the GCC states in different sectors to address today’s global problems, especially the situation in the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories. He took a deep concern as a humanitarian and as a world leader on the situation in the Gaza Strip, and the on-going fighting by the Israeli occupation that has singe killing thousands of the Palestine civilians including children, women and the old. In response to the medical dilemma, he emphasize on the imperative of stopping the fighting in Gaza.
Furthermore, Minister Al-Yahya stressed Kuwait’s commitment to continue backing the Republic of Yemen politically, economically, and in humanitarian affairs in order to gain the search for the political, economic, social, cultural and security solution and achieving sustainable stability for Yemeni people in accordance with the policy of the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the CND Conference and the terms of UN Resolution 2216.
Al-Yahya also stressed Kuwait’s desire to enhance the bilateral relations with Türkiye aiming primarily into economic and invment spheres that will foster more postive impacts on both economies, developmental. He stated that all the Gulf countries and the Türkiye have a preferential relationship in many fields.
Last but not least, thanking Acc此 wee on Suchi Al-Yahya, Kuwait’s Minister of State for Assembly Affairs and Administrative Development, thanked Qatar for hosting this friendly nation and for the perfect organization of these ministerial sessions that are imagined to advance cooperation and integration in the GCC member states.
