Sheikh Hamdan Visits Zayed Military City in Abu Dhabi to Review Armed Forces’ Readiness

Emphasizing the vital role of the UAE Armed Forces in the nation’s growth

Today His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence — United Arab Emirates visited Zayed Military City in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Hamdan during his visit applauded the efforts of the UAE Armed Forces for being the protector of the country and playing their part in maintaining stability growth and safety of the nation.

Fortification of the Nation’s Defenses

He has appreciated the role of UAE Armed Forces for their support towards the development of the country. He argued that the wind for progress in the UAE with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces added by the military.

During the inspection exercise at the Zayed Military City, Sheikh Hamdan was availed with a detailed tour through the modern systems of defense as well as with a demonstration of the modern technology in use by the military as well as the grueling training programs that enable personnel to operate these systems with precision. He noted that he has attached great significance to the training continuously so that the armed forces are capable to carry out missions quickly and efficiently within and outside the country.

Honoring Military Excellence

During the visit the Sheikh Hamdan presented medals to three high-ranking officers in recognition of their tremendous service to the country’s military development. The honorees included:

Major General Staff Pilot Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan The Commander of the Naval Forces
A photo of the UAE’s Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence
Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi Al Shihhi, Director of the Operations Centre
The award was geared towards acknowledging their hard work and complete commitment embracing the fruitful fight in defense of the country.

Loyalty of the UAE Armed Forces

The military personnel thanked Sheikh Hamdan for visiting them and this they said would encourage them to work harder on their training.
