DXB for the second straight year has earned the title of the world’s busiest international airport for inbound, outbound, and transfer passengers. DXB remains the world’s most important international hub for passengers, and its overall seat share increases from 17.1m to 60.2m in 2024.

This makes it the fifth time that the Philippine airline has earned the feat this 2019, 2023, and 2024, according to the global travel data company OAG. It oppurtion for DXB to strengthen its position, as the airport witnessed a 7% growth in terms of passenger traffic than in 2023. Replacing last year’s second-place finisher Dubai International Airport (DXB) which has 47.4 million seats, London Heathrow Airport (LHR) followed very closely at 48.4 million seats.
Among both international and domestic connections, DXB is only beaten by Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport with a reported capacity of 62.7 million seats.
