Emirates has become the official airline partner of The Championships, Wimbledon — the first airline to hold that title — completing the Dubai carrier's sponsorship of all four major tennis Grand Slams ahead of the July 1–14, 2024 tournament at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
Emirates Completes the Grand Slam Set
The multi-year partnership, announced in February 2024, sees Emirates join Wimbledon as an official partner alongside its existing sponsorships of the US Open (since 2012), Roland-Garros (since 2013), and the Australian Open (since 2015). Wimbledon is the final piece of that portfolio.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said: "Wimbledon is one of the Grand Slams on the calendar and we are happy to have been appointed as the official airline partners in the first year itself. We have the chance to fasten the bond Emirates has always had with tennis lovers — of which there are many among our passengers globally. During the inaugural year of our partnership with Wimbledon, our message to the tennis fans is loud and clear."
Deborah Jevans, Chair of the All England Club, added: "We are delighted to welcome Emirates to our family of Official Partners at Wimbledon."
Special A380 Wimbledon Livery
To mark the launch, Emirates has placed a Wimbledon logo on one of its Airbus A380 superjumbos, flanked by athletic-positioning branding. The special livery aircraft departs London Heathrow on 1 July — the opening day of The Championships — and will operate throughout the tournament on routes to and from London Heathrow, Manchester, Washington D.C., Paris, New York (JFK), Casablanca, Zurich, Brisbane, Barcelona, and Perth.
On-Court Branding and Fan Activations
Under the partnership terms, Emirates will receive on-court branding on Centre Court and No. 1 Court, on-site fan engagement activations, and marketing, digital, and social media rights across the tournament. Hospitality tickets are also included.
Emirates and Wimbledon will also collaborate on the popular "Wimbleworld" experience on the Roblox metaverse platform, featuring Emirates-branded tennis courts and obstacle courses.
Force for Good Community Fund
Beyond sport, the two organisations have committed to a multimillion-pound "Force for Good" fund supporting social impact initiatives across the UK. Further details on the fund's programmes are to be announced during the 2024 Championships.
