Academic Year Results Approved
Sheikh Abdullah congratulated students, parents, and educators on completing the academic year, acknowledging high-performing students by name. Sheikha Mariam endorsed all students, graduates, parents, and teachers, highlighting the essential role that parents play in student success. She called on all stakeholders to reflect on the past year and plan thoughtfully for the future, encouraging students to develop their values, skills, and interests during the summer break — with a particular emphasis on reading and family activities.
Government School Results and Anti-Cheating Measures
The council endorsed the end-of-year results for government schools following an assessment presented by Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology Sarah Al-Amiri. The review included reports on examination violations and the non-fiction review methods introduced to eliminate cheating in assessments, so that parents receive a genuine and accurate reflection of their children's academic performance.
Emirates Schools Establishment Strategies
Strategies and initiatives proposed by the Emirates Schools Establishment to improve student achievement and overall educational outcomes were also reviewed. The council discussed a range of approaches aimed at raising performance across government schools.
New Student Performance Assessment Policy
The council endorsed a revised student performance assessment policy for the next academic year. The updated policy introduces multiple methods of evaluation, designed to identify areas of strength as well as areas of challenge for individual students — enabling targeted support so that every student can achieve their best results.
