The first closure is planned for Sunday 10 November coinciding with the event ‘Dubai Ride’ cycling event officially initiated for recreational cyclists of all abilities. The second closure is planned for November 24 in connection with the Dubai Run in which both professional and amateur athletes will take to the street.
The closures will primarily affect early morning traffic, with the Dubai Ride requiring all cyclists to complete their rides by 8:15 AM. As a result, it is anticipated that Sheikh Zayed Road will be opened again soon after that time.
