The UAE's Moon-Sighting Committee confirmed the Shawwal crescent on the evening of Saturday, March 29, and the Presidential Court officially declared Sunday, March 30, as the first day of Eid Al Fitr 1446 AH.
The public holiday ran from Sunday, March 30 to Tuesday, April 1 — three days off for both public and private sector workers. Normal working hours resumed on Wednesday, April 2.
