Dubai is gearing up for one of its most exciting times of the year — UAE National Day 2025, and this year’s celebrations will last an entire month. Beginning on UAE Flag Day, Monday, November 3, and continuing until Eid Al Etihad on Tuesday, December 2, the city will be transformed into a vibrant hub of national pride, unity, and festivity.
This marks the second consecutive year that Dubai will extend the festivities into a full month, reviving the popular #ZayedAndRashid campaign. The theme pays tribute to the UAE’s founding fathers — His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum — whose shared vision and leadership laid the foundation for the nation’s remarkable growth and prosperity.
A Citywide Celebration of Heritage and Unity
Organised under the leadership of Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), the month-long programme will bring together government, semi-government, and private entities. The campaign will showcase the emirate’s creativity and unity through national, cultural, and community events that celebrate the UAE’s identity and achievements.
Although the exact schedule of events has yet to be revealed, early indications suggest a spectacular lineup inspired by last year’s celebrations. Visitors and residents can look forward to iconic light projections on Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks, the return of the UAE Flag Garden, and open-air concerts featuring traditional Emirati performances alongside modern music acts.
The city will also witness community parades, art installations, and family-friendly events designed to bring people from all walks of life together under one flag. From school initiatives to waterfront festivities, every corner of Dubai is set to reflect the spirit of the Union.
Leadership Endorses a Unified National Vision
Speaking about the campaign, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, emphasised the importance of collective celebration.
“Led by Brand Dubai, National Month is a collective effort to commemorate our national occasions in a coordinated and harmonised way,” Sheikh Ahmed said. “The campaign will be a powerful demonstration of national solidarity and our shared aspirations for the future, rooted in loyalty and belonging.”
He also confirmed the continuation of the #ZayedAndRashid campaign for a second year, highlighting it as a heartfelt tribute to the visionary founders whose generosity and leadership shaped the UAE into one of the world’s most dynamic nations.
Social Impact and Community Engagement
Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the GDMO, shared that last year’s campaign drew more than two billion social media engagements, reflecting the deep emotional connection residents and citizens have with the UAE’s national identity.
“Coordination and integration are key to the success of the campaign,” Al Marri said. “It is an opportunity for the community to express their love for the nation and their immense pride in its growth and success.”
This year’s edition will build on that success, expanding the scale of participation and including more organisations, communities, and cultural venues across the emirate.
Dubai’s Landmarks Light Up for the Nation
Preparations are already in full swing across the city. Many of Dubai’s most famous landmarks will be part of the celebrations, creating a spectacular visual display of unity and national pride.
Last year’s National Month saw dazzling displays at Dubai Frame, Al Wasl Dome at Expo City, Dubai International Airport (DXB), City Walk, and Dubai Festival City Mall. These locations are expected to return with even grander shows this year, possibly joined by Bluewaters Island, Ain Dubai, and Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR).
Throughout November, residents can expect themed décor, patriotic lighting, and immersive experiences that celebrate Emirati culture — from traditional performances to digital art projections. Cafés and shopping malls across Dubai are also likely to participate, offering National Day promotions and themed menus.
A Month to Remember
As UAE National Day 2025 approaches, Dubai’s month-long celebration serves as both a reflection of the country’s rich heritage and a showcase of its modern, forward-looking spirit. The city’s blend of creativity, innovation, and inclusivity will once again make it a shining example of how tradition and progress can coexist harmoniously.
For residents, tourists, and visitors, November in Dubai will be more than just a month of festivities — it will be a living tribute to the UAE’s unity, resilience, and vision for the future.
