Dubai RTA and Police Announce Second Edition of Delivery Service Excellence Award

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) together with Dubai Police General Headquarters started the second Delivery Service Excellence Award from February 19 up to May 31 in 2025. The initiative targets to increase delivery service company competition and strengthen service standards and road safety by motivating regulation compliance.

The recognition program contains three essential parts within the Companies, Drivers and Partners segments. The award will grant prizes to the leading delivery service providers while honoring top operators using smart systems and selecting an outstanding strategic partner. The award also plans to give special recognition to 200 exceptional delivery service drivers who displayed outstanding performance.

Commitment to Excellence and Road Safety
During the first edition Ahmed Mahboub as the CEO of Licensing Agency at RTA stated that the ceremony met strong participation from nominees. According to him the award creates essential motivation that pushes delivery service providers to apply global standards while improving service standards in all parts of Dubai.

The award supports Dubai’s Safety Strategy because it targets road accident reduction and promotes responsible driving as stated by Mahboub. The event leader called upon businesses and drivers to join the initiative because delivery business was expanding due to growing customer needs.

Dubai Police’s Strategic Role in Safety Enhancement
The delivery sector safety and service quality improvement focus stems from specialized initiatives according to Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei who leads the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police. Programs of this kind teach motorists to adopt better driving patterns which in turn lowers them from committing traffic violations and getting into accidents.

Al Mazrouei stated that safety recognition programs support companies to integrate global safety norms which safeguard anyone involved in deliveries.
