# Emirates SkyCargo Unveils New Livery for Freighter Fleet
Emirates SkyCargo has debuted its new aircraft livery on Boeing 777 freighter A6-EFV, the first of its fleet to receive the refreshed look. The aircraft entered service in July 2024 and was repainted immediately afterwards, with Emirates Engineering completing the transformation in just eight days at its in-house paint shop.
What Changed in the New Livery
The redesign introduces several striking visual updates across the aircraft:
- The UAE flag on the tailfin now appears with a more dynamic, flowing design enhanced by three-dimensional effects. - Gold lettering across the fuselage — in both English and Arabic — is larger and bolder than on the previous scheme. - Arabic calligraphy on the engines and the signature red markings on the aircraft belly are retained, preserving the core Emirates identity.
The new livery is the third branding iteration for Emirates since the airline launched in 1985. It was first unveiled in March 2023 and is now being progressively applied to the freighter fleet.
Leadership Comments
Nadeem Sultan, Senior Vice President of Cargo Planning and Freighters at Emirates SkyCargo, underlined the strategic importance of the update:
> "Emirates SkyCargo freighters are some of the most instantly recognizable aircraft in the skies, flying valuable commodities to and from 38 destinations worldwide. The investment in new livery represents our ongoing commitment to modernise our fleet, as we continue to build our capacity and unlock new opportunities to serve our global customers."
Fleet Rollout Plan
All 10 of Emirates SkyCargo's existing Boeing 777 freighters will be gradually scheduled for repainting in the new livery. Additionally, the 13 new freighters currently on order will be manufactured and delivered with the contemporary livery already applied, meaning the entire future fleet will carry the unified new look.
Growing Global Cargo Network
The refreshed branding accompanies Emirates SkyCargo's ongoing network expansion. The carrier currently operates freighter services to 38 destinations worldwide, strengthening its position in the competitive global air cargo market as demand for freight capacity continues to grow.
