Emirates has confirmed it will launch the Airbus A350 for the first time in January 2025, marking a major milestone for the UAE's flag carrier. The first aircraft in Emirates' 65-strong A350 order — registered A6-EXA — was received in Dubai from Airbus's Toulouse Production Centre on 25 November 2024 and is currently undergoing final fitting at Emirates Engineering.
Inaugural Route: Dubai to Edinburgh
The Emirates A350 first flight will operate on the Dubai–Edinburgh route, making Scotland the first destination to benefit from the airline's newest widebody aircraft. Eight additional routes are to follow shortly after launch, with Emirates already confirming destinations across four continents.
The full initial rollout covers: Bahrain, Kuwait, and Muscat in the Middle East; Mumbai and Ahmedabad in India; Colombo in Sri Lanka; and Lyon and Bologna in Europe.
A New Standard of Cabin Comfort
The Emirates A350 features a three-class layout across 312 seats:
- 32 Business Class seats — next-generation fully flat beds - 21 Premium Economy seats — a product category Emirates has steadily expanded - 259 Economy Class seats — generously pitched with improved stowage
Passengers can expect spacious cabins, higher ceilings, expanded overhead storage, and refined ambient lighting designed to reduce fatigue and jet lag on long-haul sectors.
A Growing A350 Fleet
Emirates has an order book of 65 Airbus A350 aircraft, which will be delivered progressively over the coming years. The airline says the A350 reinforces its position at the forefront of aviation innovation, with a focus on passenger comfort and operational efficiency.
Travelers can book seats on Emirates A350 flights through the airline's official website, mobile application, or any authorised travel agency.
With the A350 now in final preparation at Emirates Engineering in Dubai, passengers on the Dubai–Edinburgh route will be among the first in the world to experience the airline's newest aircraft when it enters service in January 2025.
