UAE Ambassador Ibrahim Salem Al Alawi formally presented his letter of credence to Peruvian President Dina Boluarte at the Presidential Palace in Lima, marking the beginning of his diplomatic mission to strengthen ties between the United Arab Emirates and Peru.
Ceremony at Lima's Presidential Palace
The credentials ceremony took place at the main entrance of the Presidential Palace in Lima, where Al Alawi signed and handed over his letter of credence to President Boluarte. The occasion formally inaugurated Al Alawi as the UAE's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Peru.
At the ceremony, Al Alawi conveyed the warm regards and good wishes of UAE leaders — President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister. He also expressed their hopes for Peru's continued development and progress.
Boluarte Pledges Support for Bilateral Relations
President Boluarte congratulated the UAE leadership and wished the nation and its people continued growth and prosperity. She extended her warmest regards to the newly appointed Ambassador Al Alawi and assured Peru's full commitment to supporting his mission and to enhancing the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

Ambassador Al Alawi affirmed his dedication to promoting relations between Peru and the UAE, underscoring the importance of strengthening common interests and expanding areas of cooperation that serve both nations.
The two sides reviewed existing spheres of bilateral cooperation and explored potential new fields, with the shared aim of deepening ties in line with the strategic vision and foreign policy priorities of both countries. The UAE is Peru's leading commercial partner in the Arab world, and Peru is the UAE's second-largest investment destination in South America.
