What To Know

  • The weather will be reasonably sunny in some areas and partly cloudy in others, which will shift to possible convective in the eastern and southern part of the country in the afternoon.

The UAE is expected to start experiencing a stable weather throughout the whole of June although there could be a slight fluctuation in temperatures. The current weather can also be predicted using the National Metrology Center where a detailed forecast of the next few days can be obtained.

Thursday, June 6

The day will begin in the northern coastal region of Sri Lanka with possible mist formation due to humidity. The outlook for the day should remain comparatively fine with some cloud development in the east. Prevailing south east to north east winds will be fairly gentle, varying between 10 to 20 km/hr and gusting to 35 km/hr on occasions. The sea swell will be low both in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea which will encourage marine activities.

Friday, June 7

It is going to remain fair with clouds advancing to the eastern regions come afternoon just like in Thursday. Their intensity will however remain moderate and are expected to range between 10-20 km/ hr with gusts up to 35 km/hr. The sea will continue to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.

Saturday, June 8

The weather will be fine, to some extent it will be overcast. In the East, a possibility of developing convective clouds during the afternoon could be observed. The general wind pattern will be from the southeast to the northeast at a speed of 15 to 25 km/hr; gusts of wind with a strength of up to 35 km/hr will create a little blowing dust. Weather will remain pleasantly warm and sea conditions will be slight.

Sunday, June 9

A continuation of fair to partly cloudy sky is expected over most part of the country with moderate to heavy convection building up the eastern half of the country by the afternoon to bring in spells of rainfall. The wind speed will be gentle to moderate, averaging around 15-25 km/hr with gusts up to 40 km, and will blow dust and sand occasionally. Conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

Monday, June 10

The weather will be reasonably sunny in some areas and partly cloudy in others, which will shift to possible convective in the eastern and southern part of the country in the afternoon.
