Get ready for a packed pop-culture weekend as Middle East Film & Comic Con returns to Abu Dhabi with a high-profile lineup of celebrities, comic creators, and fan-favourite talent. MEFCC 2026 takes place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 24 to 26 April, promising celebrity sightings, cosplay, panels, gaming, and immersive fan experiences.
More guest announcements are expected in the lead-up to the event, but here's who has already been confirmed.
Alan Quah
Alan Quah is a Malaysian comic book artist and illustrator internationally recognised for his cinematic style and dynamic storytelling. Over the course of his career, Quah has illustrated more than 400 comic book covers for major publishers, including Marvel and DC Comics.
His work spans popular titles such as Wolverine, The Marvels, Star Wars, Nightwing, and Green Lantern. As one of Southeast Asia's most successful comic artists, Quah represents the growing global influence of regional talent — and fans will be able to meet him at MEFCC 2026.
Christopher Judge
Christopher Judge is best known for his iconic roles across television and video games. He rose to international fame as Teal'c in the long-running sci-fi series Stargate SG-1, becoming a fan favourite over its ten-season run.
More recently, Judge achieved global acclaim as the voice of Kratos in the blockbuster video games God of War and God of War Ragnarök. With a career spanning decades, he now heads to Abu Dhabi to meet fans at MEFCC 2026.
Simu Liu
Simu Liu joins the MEFCC 2026 lineup following his rise as one of Hollywood's most recognisable stars. Liu made history as Marvel's first Asian superhero lead, starring as Shang-Chi in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The Chinese-Canadian actor, writer, and executive producer is also widely known for his role in the hit CBC sitcom Kim's Convenience, and most recently appeared in the global box-office sensation Barbie. During the event weekend, fans will have opportunities for photo sessions and autographs with Liu.
More Stars Still to Come
Organisers have confirmed that more celebrity announcements are on the way. Previous editions of MEFCC have welcomed major names such as Andrew Garfield, Charlie Cox, and Natalia Dyer, and the 2026 edition is expected to deliver a similarly impressive mix of guests from film, television, gaming, and comics.
What Else Is at MEFCC 2026
While celebrity appearances are a major draw, Middle East Film & Comic Con 2026 offers far more for fans attending in Abu Dhabi:
- Comic Creators Club — connect with artists and commission original artwork - Artist Alley — local and regional talent with exclusive prints and collectibles - Gaming Arena — interactive challenges and hands-on experiences - Main Stage — celebrity panels, interviews, community sessions, and exclusive screenings - Festival Plaza — live entertainment, music, activities, and food and beverage options
