Renee Farah is a Lebanese TV presenter based in Dubai, and her story begins in the anchor chair. She fronted several shows on major networks such as Rotana and Abu Dhabi TV, and her presence on Pan Arab television stations introduced her to a huge fan base.
Today Renee Farah is a standout name in fashion and beauty, loved for her makeup and skincare expertise and her eye for trends. She joined the WE ARE DXB campaign celebrating the Levi’s flagship store at The Dubai Mall, and she called it a dream come true, since she grew up watching those iconic Levi’s ads. She also credits the UAE for her success and praises the many opportunities she found here.
Checking In Calls for a Statement Look
Plenty of guests walk up to a hotel desk, hand in a passport and head upstairs. Renee had a bolder plan. She picked her favorite hotel, The Lana in Dubai, and dressed for the occasion in a feisty black and white combo topped off by knee-high boots.
Think about a hotel lobby for a second. Guests glance up from every sofa and doorway, so an outfit has to speak up the second its owner walks in. Renee’s did all the talking, and I am sure all eyes were on her as she checked in.
Checking in at a favorite hotel is lovely on its own. Checking in as a fashion force full of attitude is an entirely new ball game, and Renee played it beautifully.
A lobby is the opening scene of any trip, and Renee understood the assignment. Her outfit set the tone for a day of luxury the second she set foot in the building.
Renee Farah Gives Black and White a Fresh Twist
Let’s talk about the combo. The top is a cropped black jacket buttoned low at the chest, topped by a crisp white shirt collar that peeks up at the neckline. Oversized white cuffs flare at the wrists, and they are a showstopper. The layered shirt effect makes the jacket look tailored and playful in one go.
Then the skirt. It is a black mini, and a band of white elastic peeks above the waistband at the hips. That little strip of white echoes the collar and the cuffs, so the whole outfit reads as one clever idea. Black and white is a timeless pairing, and these touches give it a fresh twist.
What makes the combo so wearable is the balance. The black pieces form a sleek base, while the white details brighten the whole outfit and draw the eye to the neckline and the wrists. Matching dark pieces create a coordinated set, which makes getting dressed a breeze. Add tall boots and the outfit is ready for the day.
A cropped cut, flared cuffs and a short hem add up to a look that is cheeky and confident.
The Lana Is a Gorgeous Hotel to Dress For
Renee chose her spot wisely. The Lana is the first Middle East address of Dorchester Collection, a thirty-storey tower in Business Bay designed by Foster + Partners. Interiors come from the Parisian duo Gilles & Boissier, and the lobby shows off a dazzling cascade of gold among fifty artworks. It opened in 2024 and holds a Michelin Key.
Food lovers can book restaurants by Martín Berasategui and Jean Imbert, and a Dior Spa is ready for pampering. The rooftop infinity pools face the Burj Khalifa one way and desert plains the other. Guests can even ride from the airport in a custom Rolls-Royce, a gloriously glamorous way to kick off a trip.
The location adds to the appeal. The hotel overlooks Marasi Bay Marina on the banks of the Dubai Canal, a short drive from The Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. Developer Omniyat set out to turn Business Bay into a luxury enclave in the heart of the city, and The Lana is a lovely showcase.
Even the name is lovely. It draws on an Arabic expression meaning for us and a Hawaiian term for floating gently in calm water. That suits a hotel that welcomes guests so graciously.
Renee Farah Wins at Boots to Boot
Now for the finishing touch. Renee wore black leather boots that reach the knee, and a gold-tone detail near the ankle adds a gleam. Sleek, glossy and tall, they give the black and white outfit a confident finish.
Boots to boot, get it? I had to say it.
Anyway, they are a smart choice. The dark leather echoes the black skirt, and a stretch of bare leg in between keeps the mini looking fresh. Knee-high boots are a loyal friend to a mini skirt, adding edge in daylight and glamour after dark.
Ladies, Learn From Renee
Two takeaways here. First, dress for the spots you love, because a luxury hotel deserves an outfit that matches its mood. Second, repeat one detail. The white trim on the jacket and skirt gives the whole look a neat, cohesive finish.
Dressing up for a hotel check-in is a small joy anyone can try. A cropped jacket and a mini skirt are easy to find, and tall boots finish the job.
Renee, we so love this entire look! Ladies, on your next hotel booking, treat the lobby as your runway. Pick a black and white combo and add knee-high boots. Then let every head turn your way.
