Dubai Mallathon 2026 is officially returning, and this year it is bigger, longer, and still completely free. For three straight months, some of Dubai's biggest malls will transform into indoor running and walking tracks, giving residents a chance to stay active without battling the city's summer heat. Starting June 15 and running daily until September 15, the event brings together runners, walkers, families, fitness enthusiasts, and complete beginners for one of the UAE's most accessible fitness initiatives. And the best part? It costs absolutely nothing.
What Is the Dubai Mallathon?
The Dubai Mallathon is a citywide fitness initiative that opens participating malls early each morning, allowing residents to run, jog, or walk indoors before regular shopping hours begin.
Participants can choose from:
- 2.5km route - 5km route - 10km route - Any-pace walking route
Free hydration stations will be available at all participating locations, making it easy for everyone to join regardless of fitness level.
The event runs daily from 7AM to 10AM, giving participants plenty of time to complete their workout before work or school. Whether you're training for a race or simply trying to get more steps in, the Dubai Mallathon is designed to make fitness more accessible during the hottest months of the year.
Nine Dubai Malls Are Taking Part
Dubai Mallathon 2026 will be hosted across nine major shopping destinations:
- Dubai Mall - Mall of the Emirates - City Centre Deira - City Centre Mirdif - Dubai Hills Mall - Dubai Marina Mall - Dubai Festival City Mall - Dubai Festival Plaza - The Springs Souk
Each venue will feature its own designated indoor route, making it easy for residents across different parts of the city to participate.
Last Year Broke Records
The inaugural Dubai Mallathon attracted more than 40,000 participants from multiple nationalities and age groups. Collectively, participants logged more than 120 million steps on indoor tracks throughout the event.
The initiative also earned a Guinness World Record after 1,392 runners took part in a single mall race at Dubai Hills Mall, setting the record for the largest number of participants in a mall run event.
Following the overwhelming response, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed that the initiative become an annual event and expand to a full three-month programme beginning in 2026.
