The Dubai Metro Music Festival 2024 has officially kicked off, with five metro stations transformed into open-air cultural venues for a week of free live performances. Organised by Brand Dubai — the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office — in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the fourth edition of the festival runs from September 21 to 27, 2024.
Five Stations, Twenty Musicians, One Week of Live Music
Twenty talented musicians from the UAE and around the world are performing across five key metro stations: Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman, Union, and DMCC. Daily performances run from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, turning what would otherwise be an ordinary commute into an immersive live music experience.
The lineup spans a diverse range of genres and instruments — from strings and percussion to wind instruments and even creations crafted from everyday objects — reflecting the multicultural identity that defines Dubai.
A Platform for Global and Local Creativity
Each day brings fresh performances and new artists, ensuring that commuters and visitors who pass through these stations throughout the week encounter something different every time. The rotating schedule is designed so that no two visits to the festival are alike.
The Dubai Metro Music Festival has firmly established itself on Dubai's annual cultural calendar, offering residents and visitors a unique setting in which to experience world-class performances without a ticket or a venue booking. The metro platform becomes the stage; the daily crowd becomes the audience.
